This technique represents a mage's increasing familiarity with the forces of magic, to the point where they can sense it on a combat-effective basis, without resort to spellcasting. As well, they may heighten it if necessary, through spellcasting.

T E C H N I C A L - S P E C I F I C A T I O N S

Sense Magic grants a mage the ability to sense Magic-based signatures at up to 100% of their MagPL, typically in a similar mode to a ki fighter's ability to sense ki signatures. Once the tech is completed, it is always active, and has no magical signature to be detected.

The mage may also cast Sense Magic on themselves, increasing their Magic detection to a total of 200% of their MagPL. This naturally creates a magical signature on them which can be detected, at a value of 60% of their MagPL, in addition to any other magical signature they may have. This feature lasts for three rounds, not including the round in which it was cast.
