The Ki Attack Kit

[ Return to Ki CTechs | Return to CTech Menu ]

The Ki Attack Kit is a special set of tech upgrades which allows you to take a simple, ordinary ki attack and make your own, as easy as 1, 2, 3. In order to put it together properly, you should understand the statistic terms of an attack so you know whether or not to upgrade it, and how much.

Here are the stats of a normal Ki blast:
(UKPL = User's Ki Power Level)

  • Attack Type: Blast

  • Natural Charge: 30% UKPL

  • Charge Rate: 10% UKPL per post

  • Maximum Charge Capacity: 70% UKPL (allows for 5 full charges)

  • Speed: 50% UKPL

  • Stamina Drain: Equal to strength of attack.

Now, here is an explanation of each of those stats:

Attack Type

This is either Blast or Stream.

A blast is a sphere that is fired or thrown (depending on how you visualize it). When it strikes something tangible that isn't ki or air, it explodes.

A stream is similar to a fire hose. You fire it in a steady wave that continues to hit the target until it is stopped or the user is distracted from it. However, this type of attack drains stamina quickly and must be held for at least one entire post before it can be stopped consciously.

Natural Charge

This is how much strength an attack starts off with, if you charge it for a post or simply start it and end it in a single post. The first post of charging is equal to the Natural Charge, and then increases per post by...

Charge Rate

This is how much strength the attack gains per post after the natural charge. Each post of charging after the first, the power increases by this much.

If the attack is a stream, you can continue to charge it after it has been fired, but it will only rise in power by half of the normal charge rate. Furthermore, you still cannot exceed the...

Maximum Charge Capacity

An attack may not have more power than this, for any reason. So, an attack starts with the natural charge, gains strength equal to the charge rate per post, and then stops when it comes to the charge capacity. Though expandable, this may not be raised higher than 400% UKPL, nor may the Natural Charge or the Charge Rate.

Speed

This is how fast the attack actually travels. This may not be faster than 400% UKPL.

Stamina Drain

This is the amount of stamina drained from your character when the attack is fired and/or maintained per post. Your stamina is only 400% UKPL, total. If you have an attack that causes that much damage, you will only be able to fire it at the beginning of a fight, and if you pull it off, you will be too tired to do anything. The only alternative is to invest in drain reduction.
